Dr Megan Stevens provides continuity of care by providing diagnosis and offers multiple treatment options in one location to suit your individual needs.

During your online initial assessment she promises to listen, to be non-judgmental, empathetic, and supportive while thoroughly assessing and diagnosing the following conditions:

During your initial appointment, Dr Megan Stevens will take a detailed history of your current symptoms, past medical and psychiatric history. She will build a treatment plan with you to start at your next online treatment follow up appointment. This can include blood tests (additional charge), medication, nutritional psychiatry assessments and/or online yoga with mindfulness-based stress reduction and pregnancy yoga (booked separately), all of which are followed up and delivered by Dr Megan Stevens.

Troublesome symptoms such as anxiety, irritability, low mood, concentration, panic attacks and sleep issues can develop in a previously well individual during the time leading up to, during and after the menopause. Pre-existing mental health issues may worsen during the perimenopause and menopause. Undiagnosed and untreated the menopause can have significant implication on your long term health, relationships and work.
 
Dr Megan Stevens conducts a thorough assessment of all of your symptoms and past medical history and works with you to develop the most effective menopause treatment strategy for you. Getting the correct dose and type of HRT is important to resolving your symptoms and managing your long term health as you progress into post-menopause years. She explains any potential risks of HRT including the numerous benefits clearly helping you to make an informed decision on your treatment. Alternative treatments can be discussed if required.

During your initial appointment you may be recommended to have a blood tests to measure bodily functions and hormones. Treatment can include body identical HRT, testosterone and/or vaginal oestrogens/lubricants. It is also possible to incorporate one to one Yoga sessions, mindfulness based stress reduction and nutritional advice into your treatment sessions to help you manage your mental health and menopause symptoms.

It can be draining telling your story to multiple professionals. Dr Megan Stevens is able to offer multiple treatment options without the need to visit multiple different professionals. She takes the time to get to know you and understand your case in depth. Her goal is to help you understand your mental health condition, as well as to teach you how to listen to and respect your body in order to prevent relapses and enhance your confidence in living with a mental health condition. During your treatment sessions, she will monitor and deliver your treatment plan which can which can involve medication, nutritional psychiatry assessments, yoga and mindfulness-based stress reduction and pregnancy yoga. Prior to starting medication you may be advised to have a blood test (additional cost).

Trying for a baby can be one of the most challenging times for you and your partner. Especially if you experience a miscarriage.

Dr Megan Stevens offers one to one support to help you manage anxiety, depression and stress associated with difficulty conceiving. She will clearly discuss the risks and benefits of being on medication if required, teach you Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction and Yoga techniques to clam and rebalance your nervous system, avoid rumination about the future and remain in an optimistic state of mind.

PMS and PMDD can cause you to feel depressed, anxious, irritable, or emotional in the week (or so) before your period. You may experience bloating, weight gain, crave sugar, and feel completely exhausted during this time. PMDD may affect you so much that you consider harming yourself or ending your life.
Along with medication, Dr Megan Stevens uses Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction techniques that are known to aid pain management. She also includes Yoga techniques to help you reach the recommended amount of moderate intensity exercise, help with sleep, stress reduction and help psychological symptoms associated with this condition.
