Dr Megan Stevens teaches patients how to achieve physical and mental control through the use of Yoga with Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction. Her aim is to help you understand the complex interaction between your body and mind and recognise early warning signer earlier, improve your resilience for managing stressful situations, sleep, anxiety, depression, weight gain, and pain tolerance.
This is accomplished through the use of biofeedback, the detailed teaching of grounding techniques, pranayama (breathing), and asanas (yoga postures). Asanas are tailored to each patient's physical health, strength, and flexibility. There is no requirement for prior Yoga knowledge.
Recommended for patients struggling with anxiety and depressive disorders, emotional lability, impulsivity, poor concentration, hyperactivity, perimenopause and menopause, weight management, insomnia, painful conditions, stress due to difficulties conceiving, during pregnancy and chronic stress.
